Human CAMK2N2 qPCR Primer Set – calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II inhibitor 2
Also known as: CAM-KIIN, CAMKIIN
About this gene: CAMK2N2 encodes a protein that is highly similar to the rat CaM-KII inhibitory protein, an inhibitor of calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II. CAMKII regulates numerous physiological functions, including neuronal synaptic plasticity through the phosphorylation of alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid-type glutamate receptors. Studies of the similar protein in rat suggest that this protein may function as a negative regulator of CaM-KII and may act to inhibit the phosphorylation of AMPA receptors.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 94032; HGNC ID: HGNC:24197; UniProt: Q96S95; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_033259.3; Chromosome location: 3q27.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
