SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human C5 (complement C5) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human C5 qPCR Primer Set – complement C5
Also known as: C5D, C5a, C5b, CPAMD4, ECLZB
About this gene: C5 encodes a component of the complement system, a part of the innate immune system that is important for inflammation, host homeostasis, and host defense against pathogens. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products, including the C5 alpha chain, C5 beta chain, C5a anaphylatoxin and C5b. The C5 protein is comprised of the C5 alpha and beta chains, which are linked by a disulfide bridge.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 727; HGNC ID: HGNC:1331; UniProt: P01031; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001735.3; Chromosome location: 9q33.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
