Human ACVR2A qPCR Primer Set – activin A receptor type 2A

Also known as: ACTRII, ACVR2

About this gene: ACVR2A encodes a receptor that mediates the functions of activins, which are members of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily involved in diverse biological processes. The ACVR2A protein is a transmembrane serine-threonine kinase receptor which mediates signaling by forming heterodimeric complexes with various combinations of type I and type II receptors and ligands in a cell-specific manner. The encoded type II receptor is primarily involved in ligand-binding and includes an extracellular ligand-binding domain, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic serine-threonine kinase domain.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 92; HGNC ID: HGNC:173; UniProt: P27037; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001616.5; Chromosome location: 2q22.3-q23.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
