Human PRKN qPCR Primer Set – parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase
Also known as: AR-JP, LPRS2, PARK2, PDJ
About this gene: The precise function of this gene is unknown; however, the encoded protein is a component of a multiprotein E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that mediates the targeting of substrate proteins for proteasomal degradation. Mutations in this gene are known to cause Parkinson disease and autosomal recessive juvenile Parkinson disease. Alternative splicing of this gene produces multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants of this gene have been described but currently lack transcript support.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5071; HGNC ID: HGNC:8607; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004562.3; Chromosome location: 6q26
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
