Human LDHA qPCR Primer Set – lactate dehydrogenase A

Also known as: GSD11, HEL-S-133P, LDHM, PIG19

About this gene: This gene encodes the A subunit of lactate dehydrogenase enzyme which catalyzes the reversible conversion of pyruvate to lactate with the concomitant oxidation of NADH to NAD in anaerobic glycolysis. The protein is found predominantly in skeletal muscle and belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family. Mutations in this gene have been linked to exertional myoglobinuria. The human genome contains several non-transcribed pseudogenes of this gene.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3939; HGNC ID: HGNC:6535; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005566.4; Chromosome location: 11p15.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
