Human ZBTB33 qPCR Primer Set – zinc finger and BTB domain containing 33
Also known as: ZNF-kaiso, ZNF348
About this gene: ZBTB33 encodes a transcriptional regulator with bimodal DNA-binding specificity, which binds to methylated CGCG and also to the non-methylated consensus KAISO-binding site TCCTGCNA. The protein contains an N-terminal POZ/BTB domain and 3 C-terminal zinc finger motifs. The ZBTB33 gene product recruits the N-CoR repressor complex to promote histone deacetylation and the formation of repressive chromatin structures in target gene promoters. The ZBTB33 gene product may contribute to the repression of target genes of the Wnt signaling pathway, and may also activate transcription of a subset of target genes by the recruitment of catenin delta-2.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10009; HGNC ID: HGNC:16682; UniProt: Q86T24; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001184742.2; Chromosome location: Xq24
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
