Human CNBP qPCR Primer Set – CCHC-type zinc finger nucleic acid binding protein
Also known as: CNBP1, DM2, PROMM, RNF163, ZCCHC22, ZNF9
About this gene: CNBP encodes a nucleic-acid binding protein with seven zinc-finger domains. The protein has a preference for binding single stranded DNA and RNA. The protein functions in cap-independent translation of ornithine decarboxylase mRNA, and may also function in sterol-mediated transcriptional regulation. A CCTG expansion from <30 repeats to 75-11000 repeats in the first intron of CNBP leads to myotonic dystrophy type 2.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7555; HGNC ID: HGNC:13164; UniProt: P62633; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003418.5; Chromosome location: 3q21.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
