SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human WIF1 (Wnt inhibitory factor 1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human WIF1 qPCR Primer Set – Wnt inhibitory factor 1
Also known as: WIF-1
About this gene: The WIF1 protein functions to inhibit WNT proteins, which are extracellular signaling molecules that play a role in embryonic development. The WIF1 protein contains a WNT inhibitory factor domain and five epidermal growth factor-like domains, and is believed to be involved in mesoderm segmentation. WIF1 acts as a tumor suppressor gene, and has been found to be epigenetically silenced in various cancers.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 11197; HGNC ID: HGNC:18081; UniProt: Q9Y5W5; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_007191.5; Chromosome location: 12q14.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
