SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human WFS1 (wolframin ER transmembrane glycoprotein) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human WFS1 qPCR Primer Set – wolframin ER transmembrane glycoprotein
Also known as: CTRCT41, WFRS, WFS, WFSL, DFNA6, DFNA14, DFNA38
About this gene: WFS1 encodes a transmembrane protein, which is located primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum and ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in brain, pancreas, heart, and insulinoma beta-cell lines. Mutations in WFS1 are linked to Wolfram syndrome, also called DIDMOAD (Diabetes Insipidus, Diabetes Mellitus, Optic Atrophy, and Deafness), an autosomal recessive disorder. The disease affects the brain and central nervous system.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7466; HGNC ID: HGNC:12762; UniProt: O76024; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006005.3; Chromosome location: 4p16.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
